3rd Taipei Trip [ Day 5 & Day 6]

Day 5- Had lunch @ Taipei Main Station. Then we went to a Music Store to buy albums.... alot of albums... Mi, my cousin, Cheryl & Peiyin each spent abt NT$2,000 plus to buy quite a few albums (For mi & Cheryl, mostly Xiao Zhu's albums) plus 1 set of dvd... haha... crazy us...

After tat we went on seperate way cos 1 of my colleague leaving Taipei in the afternoon with another 3 gals.. some acc her to go buy some other stuff before going back to hotel.. then mi, jolyn & Peiyin went to Avex company to help Peiyin's friend to change her cyndi's album... cos gt problem also... Luckily the company easy to find.. After tat we proceed to go to Taipei City Hall, Eslite Bookstore... Jolyn wana buy comics and Peiyin wana buy some books... Spent abt 1 hour plus there.. walked until tired... then proceed back to hotel... rest.. then all headed to Ximending... Wana shop there... cos the past few times went there is just to buy food all tat, didn't really walked ard... Our main aim is also to find Xiao Zhu's shop which my colleague said she saw from forum, pple said he has a shop @ Ximending... Walked here & there, managed to find... but it seems like not really his shop lor, i tink is becos the shop is named as STAGE, then pple thought it's his shop ba... After tat continue to walk ard... Managed to get a few tops... A very relax nite tat day... Back to hotel quite early.. all gathered at Peiyin's room for dinner & watching their TV shows... After tat, went back to our room to start packing our luggages...

Haha... Mi & Cheryl kept saying we two like buy very little things... dunnoe is becos we two shopped too much online or wat... things there seems not easy to catch our attention... So we decided to go back to Taipei Main Station underground mall the next day morning for last min shopping... Peiyin & Jen will go to Taipei City Hall as Jen wana go Warner Village there... Then jolyn & my cousin will stayed in the hotel until 12pm cos must check out our rooms by this time. Then they will go ximending walked again... and we will meet up together for lunch at 1.30pm @ Tamagoya...


Day 6- Woke up quite late.. Check out two rooms 1st... Left our luggages at the hotel lobby.. Ok, so we all go on our seperate way as planned earlier.. Mi & Cheryl went Taipei Main Station underground mall at ard 11am.. Shops still not opened yet... So we slowly walked lor... Haha... we really last min shopping lor... really start to buy quite a few stuffs shop by shop... Cheryl bought a few pair of shoes... mi can't find any i like lor.. But last min bought quite a few tops... lolx... then ard 1pm le, suppose tinking of head back to Ximending le, but tinking still have some time, so wana go see the Zhongshan underground mall got wat things there... wow... it's 1pm le lor, no shops open at all lor... So, back to Ximending, walking ard before we meet the rest at Tamayago... Saw my cousin & jolyn there, then we went to Tamayago together, went into the restaurant 1st, while waiting for Jen & Peiyin to join us... Eat until ard 2 plus... quickly went back to hotel cos we need to repack our luggages as all of us bought quite a number of stuff earlier..

Our airport transport came on time... So make our way to airport, reached airport ard 4plus.. the driver drove to T2 1st to drop off Peiyin, Jen, Cheryl & my cousin as they taking SQ flight from there, then after tat drove mi & jolyn to T1 cos we taking Jetstar from there... We were early, check in our luggages, got our boarding pass (haha.. luckily our luggages is less than 20kg) then we went walked ard the duty free areas... Start buying things again... Then cos still early, so we went to Starbuck there have a drink... After tat then proceed to boarding area... Fly off at 6.25pm... back to S'pore at 11pm... Then mi & jolyn share cab home... home sweet home!!!

Still missed Taiwan... haha... no mood to work lor... Everyday now is like holidays mood... jialat... Next year wana go again... But 1st, i wana go HK... anyone interested?? Tink going end of the year with cousin & jolyn... all start saving $$, ok?? :)

3rd Taipei Trip [ Day 3 & Day 4 ]

Day 3- Had breakfast in the hotel. Then from Xi Men station took MRT to Taipei Main Station.. Explore the underground mall (Taipei's Di Xia Jie)... Shops there only opened starting from 11am... we walked ard and slowly then more & more shops start their business for the day... mainly we looking for clothes & shoes there as i read from the forum, pple said the shoes there are the cheapest as compared to their Night Markets... We enjoyed walking ard there until Peiyin have to call to change our reservation for our lunch @ Mr J's restaurant(Jay Chou's restaurant) to 1.30pm instead of 1pm.. Then have to change to meet up with my 3 colleagues at 12.45pm instead at Taipei City Hall Station.

Weather tat day was getting hotter. Meet up with the other 3 gals at Taipei City Hall Station, then we find our way to the restaurant... took us super long time to find the restaurant... walked alot again... And only ard 2 plus then we managed to find the restaurant... So hungry le, quickly ordered our food... then start eating & talking... Haha... funny part is we didn't know tat the set meal which mi & my 3 colleagues ordered was actually a set meal tat come with a big pizza.. lolx.. so we gt 4 big pizza.. we only share to eat 1 pizza, of cos we cannot finished the other 3 lor, so we asked them to pack for us to take away... our supper for tat day... lolx.. After eating, Peiyin, the crazy fan of Jay.. haha... we went looked at the Jay's items they selling there, haha.. then she started to buy alot of the stuff, both for herself & her cousins.. After settled the bill, Peiyin asked the waiter how to get to Taipei 101 from there, they directed us to get to the nearby bus stop & we took a bus from there to Taipei 101... went in to see see, then went to the big Watson there... and since we all are carrying quite alot of stuff, mi, Peiyin, Jen and a few others decided to bring all our stuff back to hotel and the rest will walked ard Taipei 101 there 1st and shall meet them up at Huo Shan Pi Station (Wu Fen Pu) after tat... By the time we back in hotel & put down our stuff all tat it's already 7pm le... so decided to ask the rest to go to Wu Fen Pu by themselves...

Ard 7 plus then mi, Peiyin, Jen & a few others then headed down to Wu Fen Pu to continue with our shopping... Then ard 9plus then we all meet up at the Song Shan Railway Station there to go to RaoHe Night Market together, which is near Wu Fen Pu there... So many pple tat day... so we walked seperately in the Night Market & go on our seperate way back to hotel... So so tired!! Suppose going to Kaoshiung on Day 5, but cos we have quite a few places have nt cover, so decided to give it a miss this time... Next year if gt go Taiwan, really must go Kaoshiung... End of Day 3..

Day 4- Also had breakfast in hotel. Then took MRT to Taipei Main Station as we intended to take their railway train to Ruifang Railway Station & from there take a bus to Jiufen... But when we proceed to the counter to purchase the train tickets, the staff said no more tickets le. :( So, next alterative is to take MRT to Zhongxiao Fuxing station then at the bus stop outside the station, take a bus from there to Jiufen directly. Journey was quite long, ard 1 hour plus plus, reached there ard 11am... Jiufen is up the hill, so the bus have to go up slowly... Reached there, started shopping at the Jiufen old street... there selling alot of special items.. alot of food also... slowly walked up till the end of the street... took us abt 1 hours plus to 2 hours to complete walking the whole street... Then ard 1 plus or 2, we walked down the stairs to catch a bus to bring us out of Jiufen and back to Taipei...

Back to Taipei was already 3 plus to 4 le, from Zhongxiao Fuxing Station, took MRT back to Xi Men Station, everyone hungry le, so asked rest of them to go back to hotel 1st, then mi & Peiyin go Ximending there to help them buy some food to eat... Bought for them donuts from Mister Donuts.. hehe... But before go back to hotel, acc Peiyin to a Music Store to do a change for her Jay Chou's concert dvd (dvd gt problem), which her friend helped her to buy from there during their trip there in early March... Was there awhile cos they trying to play the dvd to see where goes wrong, but weird is when they played there, no problem lor, so they insisted cannot change for her.. Ok, then no choice lor, but i must said the person who attended to us, attitude really bad lor!!

Then back to hotel, ate our food & took a long rest... the next place we going is Shilin Night Market, which we missed during our 1st day... Left the hotel ard 6 plus, took MRT from Xi Men Station & change train at Taipei Main Station to Dan Shui line to Jiantan Station.. abt 15 mins journey... Went to the Shilin Food Market 1st to have our dinner, ordered a few items... after tat headed to Shilin Night Market- the main shopping area... wow... alot pple tat day, super crowded.. we can't even make our way thru... then alot of times, those pple who set their "stall" in the middle of the street have to run away with their items cos "police" came... We walked awhile, but really can't continue to walk forward, so decided to turn back and bring the gals to walk from outside and entered from another side of the Night Market... there better, not as crowded.. so slowly walked ard, but to my surprise i cannot even get anything tat i wan from there... i tink in the end i only managed to buy a top from there.. diao lor.. unlike mi lei..

Left Shilin Night Market ard 10pm, super tired! Then took MRT back to Xi Men Station then went to Ximending to see still gt wat to shop... Managed to get a cheap bag there.. Then back to hotel... All deadly tired... then after bath, all feeling hungry le.. haha... so mi, jolyn & Jen went to the Family Mart to get some cup noodles.. all came to my room to eat... lolx.. End of Day 4... to be continue...

3rd Taipei Trip [ Day 1 & Day 2]

Hello everyone! I'm back! Back for 1 wk plus le.. erm.. though it's my 3rd trip there, but still missed the place alot... This time, we really went quite alot of places, walk really alot.. walk till super tired... is really those super tired de lor...

Ok, this time, total of 11 of us went together. Haha.. alot hor.. One of my young cousin also join us, then jolyn & irene, the rest are my colleagues. 5 of us took Jetstar, the rest used their last year FOC ticket to travel by SQ, they fly off from T3 lor. 4 of them who took SQ took the morning flight, reached there ard afternoon only. So, they went check in our hotel rooms 1st, then went to walk ard at ximending 1st. We reached there ard 5.40pm, was delayed awhile as one of my colleague kana screened having high fever when we were at the immigration hall. Luckily it's ok, so we headed to collect our luggages & also to meet up with irene & my cousin as they took SQ and they arrived abit earlier at their T2, so they took their skytrain from T2 to T1 to meet up with us. We headed to the information counter to apply for the Youth Travel thingy, but we were told tat they have finished given out the Youth Travel thingy for the day. So bo bian lor, then we headed to find the ticket counter to buy the freego bus tickets to go to our hotel.. It's NT$140 per person(ard S$6-S$7).

We bought the tickets, but cos the current bus do not have enough seats for 7 of us, hence we were told to wait for the next one at 7pm, so we went to a cafe to have a drink. After we heard the person shouting tat the next bus arrived le, we quickly headed out to queue, then our luggages were carried into the bus, here come the most angry part... When we were abt to go up the bus, then the driver said not enough seats le.. wow liao, then other pple were keep trying to go up to find seats, some said their kids are up in the bus le, must go up, the rest keep trying to go up the bus... kaoz.. the bus co-ordinator very idiot lor, said we can't go up, have to bring down our luggages.. We argue and very angry cos we are the ones who bought the tickets 1st, plus the lady we bought the tickets at the counter said we have to take the bus which will come at 7pm, then now said no seats and asked we all to take the next one which we gt to wait for another 20 mins. Mi & irene went back to the counter and told the lady, she came out then checked with the driver & confirmed said no more seats le & asked we all to wait again... idiot lor.. somemore the weather was unexpected very cold tat day & it was still raining... it's only 16 degree when we were at the bus waiting area... we have no choice, so took down our luggages & decided to wait there though it's very cold, so tat we can secure the seats for the next bus. We waited for more than 20 mins before the next bus arrived. Then we were also told that we have to change to a mini bus half-way during the journey, ok, this one we know abt it earlier. The journey was like an hour or so, before we were told to get down...

Another angry part, we gt down the bus, it was raining quite heavily and very cold, we thought we have to change to a mini bus, but end up they called for us 2 taxi to bring us to the hotel. Ok, but we asked the person, then do we have to pay for the taxi and he said dun need... Ok, so we get into the taxi as it's already very late le... so mi, irene, jolyn & my cousin share 1 taxi, the rest took the other one... almost when we reaching, ard at Taipei Main Station area, then the taxi driver started to said, the person just now only gave her NT$150, but now the meter is more than NT$150 le, keep saying & saying, we just ignored lor, cos it's the problem between them.. Reached the hotel at 9pm plus le... we quickly get down the taxi & went into the hotel lobby to check in. Super tired & feeling very cold lor. I was having bad flu the day b4, plus in the plane so uncomfortable, cannot slp at all, already cannot tahan liao, then reached there so cold sia... haiz... Next time when go there, should take another bus or if the hotel gt airport transport, better take tat...

The hotel tat we stayed is the same hotel which i stayed during my first 2 trips, TS Hotel. Total we have 4 rooms, irene & jolyn share, then mi, my cousin & two colleagues share one, then Peiyin share with Jen, the other 3 colleagues share one room.

When we reached the hotel, Peiyin & Jen plus my 2 collleagues who reached in the afternoon already back at the hotel, they went ximending walked until tired le, my 2 colleagues who share room with mi already feel like sleeping le, cos tat day they woke up real early... Peiyin & Jen also... suppose our itinerary planned to go Shilin night market after all of us meet up, but it's already so late le, then still raining outside, so in the end the 7 of us have no choice decided to just go to ximending & find food for our dinner... super hungry lor...

Walk to ximending's shopping area, most of the shops like going to close le lor.. so bring them to Ah Chung Mian Xian stall.. had Ah Chung Mian Xian for our dinner.. 1st time standing there to eat, cos previous two times, i will buy le, then go back hotel to eat... tink cos we all very hungry & the hot Ah Chung Mian Xian we eat until so full... after tat went walked ard see see... Oh ya... almost forgot to mentioned, finally i tried their stinking toufu... shared with sam.. haha.. actually it taste normal lei... and maybe cos i having bad flu so can't smell anything.. no wonder tat time went with sis during the 1st trip, she can eat tat for 5 days.. lolx.. Then back to hotel ard 11plus.. There goes our 1st night...

Day 2- Bought the easy metro pass [NT$500, with NT$100 deposit] ( it's like our ezlink card) 1st @ Xi Men Station. Had lunch at Ding Tai Feng. Took the MRT from Xi Men Station to Da An Station. Trying to find our the way there, cos during my 2nd trip, i got out from another station which is more far from the restaurant. So this time got down from Da An Station as it's nearer. Took us quite awhile to find the place, then meet up with my 3 colleagues outside the restaurant.. Maybe cos i didn't have breakfast earlier then too much of walking, when reached there, nt feeling tat well... See the food also dun really feel like eating... But the rest ordered quite a few items, luckily Jen gave mi a pill to eat then feeling much better after tat... After eating, took photos, settled the bill, then we went seperate way with my 3 colleagues cos they planned to go to the Orangebear shop. The rest of us went to a bookstore nearby, helped Kim buy a few of her magazines & a book, then walked ard the bookstore. After tat went to the nearby Watson, bought quite a few stuff there.. Then we slowly make our our way back to Da An Station.. Took the MRT to Dan Shui, it's quite a long journey there, roughly 1/2 hour... Reached the station at ard 4plus, suppose to meet up with my 3 colleagues to go to Yu Ren Ma Tuo together, but cos they reached early and already walking in the Dan Shui Old street le. So we went to Yu Ren Ma Tuo without them. Took a bus outside Dan Shui Station to Yu Ren Ma Tuo, Red 26 bus... Journey to Yu Ren Ma Tuo is roughly abt 20 mins...

Weather tat day was good, still abit cold, we had our jackets put on the whole day... Took quite alot of photos there, slowly walked to the bridge there... along the way to the bridge, gt some shops... the place is so nice, so windy... Was there at least an hour ba... after tat we proceed back to take the bus & go back to Dan Shui.. Start our shopping at Dan Shui old street... bought quite alot of food stuff, Naraya stuff etc... haha.. mi crazy... we spend hours there just to complete walking the Dan Shui old street.. we were all deadly tired after the long shopping... Ard 9 plus then we headed back to hotel... i tink after we back to hotel, we took a short rest then went to Ximending again for buying some food for dinner(Can't remember gt a nt.. tink have la... haha..). Then on the way back to hotel, mi & Peiyin went to the Family Mart (like our 7-Eleven) to see if we can get somemore magazines for kim.. And on our way back, passed by a cafe, decided to buy a slice of cake, planning to help irene celebrate her bday at the very last mins cos tat day was her bday.. went back to hotel room quickly, while waiting for jolyn & her to come back.. when they come back, asked them to go to peiyin's room.. haha... there goes the surprise... then she ate her cake, we eat the food we bought from Ximending... Then all back to our own room to bath all tat... End of Day 2... to be continue...
